Good Wednesday morning to everyone! I took a few of my Amish dolls to the shops I sell at yesterday so I'm anxious to see if they will sell, hopefully:) I wanted to share a great place to buy puzzles for those of you who enjoy them, Amazon.com has TONS of gorgeous ones to choose from! I ordered 2 awhile ago including the one shown above, if you go to look at puzzles on there, type in*white mountain puzzles* in the search, they have some beautiful ones! Well on to more EXCITING news.......

I'm going to be seeing this little guy again in just 4 months:) He is 6 months old already!!! My husband and step-dad are going together the end of April and my mom & I got rather tired of listening to them brag about their trip and getting to see Tyler, Soooooo, we just booked our own flights! We will be leaving June 29 and be there for 9 days, which will include the Fourth of July!!!! I will get to be with Tyler to see his first fireworks:) I can't tell you all how blessed we have been with all the visits we have managed since my son joined the Army, the end of June will mark 2 yrs. already since he left for basic training, and the HALF way mark of his 4 yr. enlistment:O I truly feel all my prayers have been answered thus far and his Brigade that his company falls under actually deployed to Afghanistan in January, but not all the companies went and his shop where he works was one of the ones left behind, can you imagine?? Of course this does not mean he will never have to go there or somewhere else, but he did not have to go this time and for that I am grateful:)

I can hardly wait to see these beaches again and feel that sunshine:) We flew out of Chicago last time and it was an 8 1/2 hr. flight from there to Honolulu, which is hard on me due to my back problems, so this time we are flying from Pittsburgh to Phoenix then onto Hnl and that will break up the sitting time a bit, although we will still have one 6 1/2 hr. flight and one 5 hr. one, so total flying time will be longer, but won't have the 8 1/2 hr. one so we'll see how it goes, I do hate sitting on a plane it's just the most uncomfortable place to be and those seats are not made for comfort! But it will be worth it to see my loves again! Hope you all enjoy the day, very rainy and dreary here in Pa, hope we see the sun again soon:)
Oh Carmen I can feel that excitement again...and counting down the days till you get to leave...
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about sitting that long in one place..its killer and worse on a plane in those awful seats..but Thaankfully you have something so special at the end of your journey to focus on that it may seem less painful...
Have fun dreaming of your vacation with the kids and have a great week!!
Hugs
Tonya
I'm so happy for you Carmen. I know you can't wait to get that little guy in your arms. What a great time of year to be going!
ReplyDeleteFunny I just bought a puzzle from the dollar store just to have something to do. LOL! Thanks for the tip!

I'm so excited for you!! He is such a cutie pie and I know you are anxious to see him again!
ReplyDeleteThat puzzle is so pretty! I love to work them in the winter. I've never looked for them on Amazon before--guess it's time I clicked on over there!
I'm so excited for you to be going back over to see your grandson...and son & DIL.
ReplyDeleteTyler is so adorable. I know that you just can't wait to give him hugs and kisses.
hugs,
Cindy
How exciting to be planning another trip.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe it's been 2 years already...hope the last 2 go just as quick for you all.
Oh~ that's wonderful, Carmen! I know you're so excited... I hope the shorter flights will be easier on you.
ReplyDeleteLove those puzzles... those are beautiful!
I am so happy for you Carmen. I know you will have a wonderful time and Tyler will be so tickled to see his Grammy.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy puzzles also Carmen, mainly in winter though. I have over a dozen of them. This is a pretty one.
ReplyDeleteThat's so awesome that you will get to see you son's family again! Definitely an answer to prayer that his company was left behind! I would love to see the beaches of Hawaii... one of these years I'll get there. Trust me... right now is definitely when you do NOT want your husband working for American Airlines. Another airline maybe, haha! I don't like long flights like that either, good deal that you are breaking it up. But knowing that Hawaii was just ahead would probably help some. Enjoy that trip~
I am so happy you'll be getting to go to Hawaii again! And I'm sure the base where he's stationed will have a nice display for the 4th as well! I will look into the puzzles on Amazon. My daughter loves to do puzzles. Her and her roommates are always doing them! Enjoy your day!
