My Amish Dolls

Well here they are, an Amish fella and his Frau! These are the dolls I've been working on, considering I'm not much of a *sew-er* I think they turned out alright:) I made the patterns for the clothing myself and had to make them twice because the first ones were not big enough to fit the dolls. I've had them done since yesterday but had to wait for my order of straw hats to arrive from HobbyLobby.com since no one around here sells them in the size I wanted. I ended up making 6 dolls so we shall see if they sell at the consignment shop:)

  1. They're cute Carmen!
    I bet they will sell.
I'm getting anxious for better weather so we can go to SugarCreek. We could go now but the thought of walking up and down the streets of Berlin in the cold wind really doesn't sound so fun.

  5. Adorable Carmen!! I collect Amish dolls. I live about 20 miles from an Amish community so I usually find them every once in awhile in the antique shops there. For not being much of a sewer, you did a wonderful job!!
