Well, it has come and gone for another year! Hope you all had a wonderful time:) Thought I'd share some of our pics with you all of our Christmas. Chris and I above, a.k.a the grandparents with Tyler, he was all decked out in his little flannel shirt and overalls for Santa!

Tyler studying a talking duck toy he got for in the bathtub, lol, he loves his baths! He has been quite fussy, reminds me of the colic days of my son's babyhood, you feel so sorry for them when they just cry and cry.....

At my parents' my son & dil both got orange hunting hats, LOL, kinda scary:O

My step-dad in the background, so blessed he was here to share our Christmas, he got my DIL her own hunting rifle as she wants to start hunting with my son when he gets out of the Army ( in 2.5 years....YES I'm counting;) he had a special *pink* camo strap added to it as she is a pink loving gal! She was very suprised by this gift:)

My son got a new gun as well, actually several, because on top of the new one, grandpa gave him his whole gun collection! He had quite a close call a couple weeks ago, and he seems very uninterested in material things now, he wanted to give the collection to my son in person rather than *by Will* it was a huge surprise to my son and very touching to witness, I still tear up thinking about it! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas as well:)
Very nice! My husband wishes he would've kept his old Remington from when he was a teen. One son of mine picked out a gun for his Christmas gift, and my future DIL's parents got her one for her gift, plus lessons for her and my other son. We've had home invasions in our little state (DE) so these are very important (plus for hunting). Your grandson is what makes life fun! love, andrea

ReplyDeleteIsn't it great to have your family around you? I know that you are soaking them up!!
ReplyDeleteOh Carmen that is a beautiful picture of Grandma Grandpa and Baby Tyler... I felt like I should copy and frame it and sit it on my picture shelf..
ReplyDeleteI love the picture...
I think the orange caps are in the wrong Holiday pictures...This is Christmas not Halloween...LOL
I totally understand how your step Dad feels about material things... once you face death first hand they just seem so trivial...
That must have been a wonderful surprise to your son..one he will treasure forever..
Sorry to hear that Tyler has been fussy..hopefully he feels better today.
Enjoy the rest of your visit with the kids..
Holiday hugs
Tonya
so glad that your step dad was around to enjoy the holiday, and be able to see the joy in giving....material things are not really that important ....I still enjoy them of course, but family always comes first.....we don't have guns but my family were big hunters and fishers at one time...my brother inherited my dad's and grandfathers guns.....
ReplyDeleteTyler is so very cute..sorry about the colic....so far Jayden hasn't had that.but he has had a cold and throat infection which is no fun in a 4 month old...
Looks like you're having a great time!
